What is a Credential
A credential is a template that has been filled out with data and signed by your organization identity. Once issued, the information is verifiable to your organization identity as the signatory issuer and endorser of its content.
A signed credential, also known as a verifiable credential, and the data that has been entered into it, is digitally verifiable. Once a credential has been issued and signed, it cannot be changed. Creating a verifiable record of the information that has been digitally signed by your organization identity.
A credential can be verified by any other identity and its contents, template (schema), and signatures verified to ensure that it is valid, who has issued it, and who it has been issued to. This creates a network of trust through recognized issuer identities and verifiable identity information being universally validated through simple credential interactions.
You can manage and issue credentials in the credentials section of your organization dashboard.
