What is a Template
Templates are the pre-defined data sets that exist within any identity network. A template may represent the information requirements for any credential before it can be issued and may represent anything from a passport or drivers license, to a personal recommendation, a cross-border trade document to a travel pass.
Templates are 100% customizable by an organization and can be created in a matter of minutes to allow you the full flexibility of establishing complex verifiable datasets which you can issue across any industry or use case.
Creating templates allows you to create a consistent, verifiable registry of accepted, standardized documents across your network of trust, that can be referenced and verified between different organizations and identities within your ecosystem, and beyond.
Templates can contain various different field types, such as text, numbers, dates, boolean, emails, etc. and can be prefilled, or filled out upon credential application or issuance.
The great thing about templates is they create a consistent and referenceable foundation for the verification of data within trust networks, and allow your organization to offer consistency and transparency in required data for your users and other identities that are within your trust network.
You can create templates in the template section of your organization dashboard.
